Red Teaming

Why perform a Red Teaming exercise?

Red Teaming helps identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in your company’s security posture that may not be apparent in day-to-day operations.

The red teaming tests the company’s ability to detect and respond (e.g. your company’s SOC monitoring team) to an attack, providing a realistic measure of the effectiveness of the current security controls and incident response procedures.

It can help improve security awareness among employees by demonstrating the potential impact of a successful attack.

It allows a company to take a proactive approach to its security, rather than waiting for an actual attack to occur.

Red Teaming can uncover operational risks that might be missed during a risk assessment. Validate Investments: It can help validate your company’s investment in security, by testing whether the controls that have been put in place are working as expected.

At Honey Badger Consulting we have conducted several successful Red Team exercises against banking, insurance, pharma and high-tech clients. Identifying issues in People, Process and Technology to improve the overall security posture of your company. Regardless if you use locally hosted Windows or Linux systems or are fully hosted in the cloud, we will use the most up-to-date tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to achieve business impactful goals.

What is goal of red teaming?

The goal of a Red Team exercise is not to cause harm, but to improve. By identifying weaknesses and areas for improvement, your company can strengthen its defenses and be better prepared for real-world attacks. It’s a critical component of a comprehensive security program.
